Cornish Rex cats come to us from a litter of cats born in 1950 on a farm in Cornwall, England. They totally have their own look ! Their skin is in lines, or waves, and has very very short hair, like velvet or silk [they still do shed though]. Their huge eyes, big ears, high cheekbones, hollow cheeks, nose and chin make them hard to forget once you’ve met one.

They’ve been compared to a Whippet dog with their high curved back, big chest, small waist and long, skinny legs. They might look thin and weak but these guys are strong ! They use their body for quick starts and stops, lightning turns and big jumps.

Cornish Rex’s are super loving and want to spend time with their humans. They are most always busy and can act like a kitten for their whole life. You might find them making up their own games to play.

Some of their faves are fetch, catch and toss [where they use their paw to pick something up and throw it].
